Associate-Level Real Estate, Land Use and Environmental Law Attorney
YVS Law, LLC ("YVS") is a collegial boutique law firm with offices in Annapolis and Fulton.
YVS seeks a junior associate-level attorney to support its Real Estate, Land Use and Environmental practice group in its Annapolis office. Our practice group represents landowners, developers, individuals, REITs, businesses, home builders, renewable energy developers, mitigation providers and not-for-profit institutions on sophisticated land use, real estate, and environmental matters. Our practice includes elements of administrative law and hearing practice, appellate litigation, lobbying and drafting of legislation, real estate transactions, and daily coordination with those responsible for review and approval of development projects on the state and local level. YVS also has a sophisticated commercial litigation, bankruptcy and insolvency practice.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated interest in land use, real estate, environmental, and administrative law, with a desire for immediate contact with clients, governmental officials, and technical consultants.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 0-2 years of experience practicing law in the State of Maryland
- Land use, real estate, environmental and administrative law experience a plus
- Strong legal research, legal writing, oral advocacy, analytical, and interpersonal skills are a must
- Enthusiasm, detail-orientation, high motivation and a talent to focus on problem solving
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- A desire for immediate contact with clients, consultants and governmental officials
Education:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from accredited law school
Certifications:
- Admission to State Bar of Maryland preferred (with membership in good standing)
