Family Practice Physicians
The Winslow Indian Health Care Center (WIHCC) in northern Arizona is looking for Family Practice Physicians interested in a broad scope of practice, including obstetrics if desired. WIHCC is also seeking staff for a newly constructed medical center on the Navajo Nation in Dilkon, AZ, set to open in June, 2023 (pictured below.) Both facilities are approved for the National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment and Arizona Loan Repayment Programs.
Our providers deliver comprehensive services to Navajo and other Native Americans, including ambulatory clinics; urgent care and emergency services; in-patient care and obstetrics. Our staff includes 20 full-time employed physicians board certified in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, General Surgery, Neurology, and Psychiatry; as well as two podiatrists, eight nurse practitioners and PAs, and even a Traditional Navajo Healer. Providers are covered by hassle-free Federal Tort Claims liability coverage, and deal with a minimum of managed care barriers.
The surrounding area offers an awesome mix of professional, cultural, and recreational opportunities. Located just 7 miles from the breathtaking beauty of Navajoland and its people, Winslow is only 50 miles via interstate highway from Flagstaff, a university town with extensive downhill and cross-country skiing.
Minutes from Winslow is Clear Creek - a deep, translucent canyon creek that cuts through miles of cliffs and offers excellent swimming, rock climbing, and kayaking. WIHCC offers excellent salaries and benefits, including health, dental, vision, and disability insurance; a 401-k plan; and paid CME leave.
