DETROIT, MICHIGAN (USA). The Department of Pathology, Wayne State University, Wayne Health and Children's Hospital of Michigan at the Detroit Medical Center is recruiting an AP/CP board certified pathologist with subspecialty certification or board eligibility in pediatric pathology. Children's Hospital of Michigan is a freestanding institution that is part of the seven-hospital Detroit Medical Center and serves as a major teaching and research center for Wayne State University School of Medicine.


The Department provides full service support for all pediatric subspecialities including bone marrow and solid organ transplant services with over 5,000 surgical specimens accessioned annually. The Department at large has subspecialty expertise in all areas and a state of the art core clinical laboratory that is well integrated within the department with services including cytogenetics, molecular diagnostics, and biomedical genetic labs. The department is involved in the education of medical students, residents and fellows and has an ACGME accredited Pediatric Pathology Fellowship program. The position offers tremendous research opportunities in collaboration with the basic science and clinical faculty of the department and its extensive collaborative programs.
