MEng Graduate Prog Coordinator
Job Description
Serves as CS Master of Engineering (MEng) graduate program coordinator and assistant to MEng Program Director. Assist customers in person by phone and email, interact effectively with current students, prospective students, faculty/staff members, and administrators. Provide support to students in matters of graduate application and enrollment. Serve as backup to other CS program graduate support staff as needed.
Required Qualifications
Previous customer service and/or administrative support experience in an academic or business setting; working knowledge of current office computer software such as word processing, spreadsheets, email, and database applications; demonstrated initiative, creativity, and the ability to evaluate needs, establish priorities, make quick decisions, exercise sound judgment, and execute both departmental and Graduate School policies; demonstrated ability to interact effectively with a wide range of clientele, including students, prospective students, faculty/staff members, administrators and other visitors; exceptional organization, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a high pressure environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience maintaining student records including admissions support, programs of study support, and international student support; experience with an application tracking system; Banner Student Systems experience; demonstrated experience with I-9 compliance policies and procedures; interest and experience in working effectively with a diverse student population; and MS Word and MS Excel experience are preferred qualifications.
