CO-LEADER HEMATOLOGIC MALIGNANCIES, The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Division of Hematology-Oncology and the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center

The Division of Hematology-Oncology and the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center seek a mid-career/senior clinical investigator to serve as the administrative and clinical research co-Leader of the malignant hematology program for our growing academic division. Our Hematologic Malignancies group of 14 clinical specialists provides clinical care to a diverse population of patients with acute leukemia, myeloma, MDS, myeloproliferative, and lymphoma programs and a comprehensive CAR-T and stem cell transplant program. More than 2,200 new patients with Hematologic Malignancies are seen each year. We have an extensive clinical research portfolio, with a dedicated group of clinical research nurses and data coordinators.

This position reports directly to the Division Chief of Hematology/Oncology. The ideal candidate is an experienced physician-investigator or physician-scientist with administrative experience and a midcareer to senior faculty with commensurate qualifications for appointment at the academic rank of Associate Professor or Professor, at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Must have MD and or MD, Ph.D. and should be board-certified in hematology and/or medical oncology.

UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, the only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in Western Pennsylvania, treats over 43,000 new adult and pediatric cancer cases annually. It is the academic and research hub within the expansive UPMC Hillman Cancer Center network of 76 clinical sites, 28 of which participate in over 440 cancer clinical trials across western PA. With over 300 members from across the University of Pittsburgh, UPMC Hillman Cancer Center comprises 7 research programs and 10 shared resources funded by our NCI Cancer Center Support Grant which has a funding base in excess of $122 million.
