The Human Health Sciences ( HHS) & Clinical Leadership & Management ( CLM) degrees are two of the three undergraduate degrees in the department. The HHS degree is a pre-professional program for students interested in healthcare careers. HHS graduates are prepared to pursue advanced professional degrees in healthcare, such as medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, physician assistant studies, physical therapy, occupational therapy, optometry, athletic training, medical research, and more. Students are also being prepared for careers in patient navigation, leadership, and other graduate studies. The Clinical Leadership & Management ( CLM) degree is designed to prepare healthcare leaders and administrators to lead as communicators, thinkers & problem solvers, inquirers, and collaborators. The program teaches applied skills in courses ranging from leadership to finance to human resources, and culminates with a two-course practicum sequence where classroom skills are put into action. CLM graduates are prepared for careers in hospital/clinic operations, long-term care, patient experience, health nonprofits, and healthcare policy, as well as graduate study.
