Job Description Summary:
Function as a staff physician in the Department of Neurology. Duties at KU will involve assisting in the movement disorder clinic, Hospital rounds, teaching medical students and neurology residents, and fellows.

Job Description:

Employment Conditions: Must have Kansas medical license.

Required Qualifications

Education: MD or foreign degree equivalent to an MD.

Work Experience:
  • Completion of a three (3) year neurology residency.
  • Completion of a one (1) year fellowship in Movement Disorders.


Preferred Qualifications

Work Experience: Previous experience in Parkinson and Alzheimer disease research.

Job Duties:
  • Be part of the Movement Disorder program at the medical school.
  • Develop independent research projects and publish scholarly publications from these efforts.
  • Attend on the general neurology consult service. , Supervise neurology residents. This will include supervision of residents in the hospital wards, and in the neurology clinic.
  • See patients in the outpatient neurology clinic.
  • Teach medical students in clinic and on the inpatient consult service, and provide occasional lectures to medical students. Pursue scholarly activity in the areas of Movement Disorder.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by department chair.
