Job Description Summary:
The Division of Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Kansas Medical Center is seeking applications for a Health Psychologist - Psychosocial Oncology Specialty to serve individuals on our interdisciplinary Onco-Psychology team in Oncology and Psychiatry. This position will join the current health psychologists in a rapidly growing, 23-member Psychology Division.
Job Description:
Required Qualifications:
- Doctorate Degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology from an APA or CPA accredited doctoral program (with an APA approved clinical internship)
- One year relevant post-doctoral experience in psychosocial oncology or health psychology
- Must be fully licensed or licensable in the State of Kansas (primary) and Missouri (or PSYPACT) by the time of the appointment.
Job Duties Outlined:
- Provide assessment, treatment, psychoeducation and triage to outpatients with cancer and their caregivers at our NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team-based care with the Center..
- Participate in the professional education of psychology interns and fellows in our APA accredited programs, as well as practicum students, medical fellows, residents and students.
- Collaborate with other faculty in scholarly activities.
- Participate in Department and Division activities, faculty meetings, and other hospital and medical school committees as assigned and continuing education activities.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Department Chair.
