Times Fiber Communications, Inc. is seeking Quality Engineer with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and at least 36 months of experience in Manufacturing/Industrial setting or equivalent. Annual starting salary depends upon experience, but at least minimum prevailing wage requirement of $86,403.00 per year. 40 hour workweek. U.S. citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident preferred.

Successful applicant will: develop and implement Lean Manufacturing training programs for all Quality Engineering employees; upgrade Quality System to ensure use of best practices by renovation and improved documentation of our Quality System; support upgrading of ISO 9001: 2015; coordinate Quality resources worldwide; assist with training needs assessments in all facilities and provide training as needed; schedule and conduct internal quality audits, report results, and assign other employees to perform audits as necessary; issue corrective action requests to ensure actions are taken to resolve problems; interface with customers and third-party auditors who visit TFC to perform quality assurance audits; work closely with other staff in the analysis of customer complaints, vendor problems, and internal quality problems to achieve resolutions; develop improvement plans for supply chain management including supplier audit program; write and revise operating procedures as required; maintain and manage various controlled documents for the Quality department such as quality manual, operating procedures, material control discrepancy reports, and temporary deviations; prepare material control discrepancy reports; and review and distribute customer returns.

Special requirements include:
Understanding of ISO 9001 & TF 16949, Lean Manufacturing knowledge and experience; advanced computer and laboratory test equipment knowledge; Six Sigma and Kaizen training; and
prior performance of Quality System Audits.

Travel requirements include: travel to other TFC plants in Brazil, Canada and Mexico; 6 weeks total travel per annum.
