This entry-level position will serve as the Auxiliary IT Support IT Specialist for the administrative and college staff.

This entry-level position will serve as the Auxiliary IT Support IT Specialist for the administrative and college staff.
Duties and Tasks:
- Provides technical support for the College Print, NOVACard, Electronic Door Access programs and all hardware and networking associated college wide.
- Perform hardware repair, support, configuration, and upgrade.
- Complete technical tasks with minimal supervision.
- Visit the colleges campuses weekly to check all equipment related to Auxiliary IT in effort to be proactive.
- Work with vendors, faculty, staff and students to resolve technical issues with vendors on various projects.
- Take calls, track, and maintain tickets associated with technical issues for print program, NOVACard and electronic dooraccess using the colleges support ticketing system.
- Service and close tickets in a timely manner.
- Efficiently and effectively use all the processes and procedures of the Auxiliary IT department.
- Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with technical and non-technical personnel.
- Support the college IT Helpdesk during peak times by taking calls, tickets and resolving or escalating them in a timely manner.
- Schedule can include occasional evenings or weekend work.
- Accept other duties as they’re assigned.
- This position is funded with non-continuous or non-recurring funding and is subject to continuation based on fiscal year funds and the needs of the college.

Required KSA’s
- Ability to work cooperatively with faculty, staff, students and administrators.
- Knowledge of multi-functional printing devices, hardware point of sale devices, software
- installations, networks and data communication and the ability to analyze and diagnose routine and unusual related equipment problems.
- Ability to install and troubleshoot computer software and hardware.
- Good interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively – verbally and in writing with technical and non-technical personnel.
- Proficiency with both Microsoft and Apple OS’s applications.
- Proven ability to plan and complete technical tasks with minimal supervision. Ability to safely
- move and handle 50 pounds independently.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Information Systems Technology or related field; OR an equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training.
- Some experience maintaining multifunction devices, desktop/laptops, peripherals and associated software (PC/MAC).
- Some experience providing customer service to managers, users, and/or clients.
- Valid and current driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with coursework in Information Systems Technology; OR an equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training.
- Significant experience with LAN’s, desktop/laptops, peripherals and associated software (PC/MAC).
- Previous experience or knowledge maintaining multifunction devices, card systems, and door access systems.
- Significant experience providing customer service to managers, users, and/or clients.
