GENERAL PURPOSE
Provide content-based individual and small group tutoring to college students in various disciplines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Tutoring Services provides academic support in Mathematics, Sciences, Modern Languages, undergraduate Nursing and SLP courses. We are looking for tutors to begin in the Fall 2021 semester. Tutors must have received a B+ or better in the courses when applying to tutor, or may be professionals who have degrees and/or licensure in the academic discipline.
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in the relevant field: Biology, Chemistry, Math/Statistics/SPSS, Physics, (Professional Tutor)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience working with students in a high school or college setting
- The knowledge of how to develop effective college study skills
Computer, including spreadsheet and word processing software; copier, network printer, scanner, and various forms of adaptive technology.
