The Department of Mathematics and Computer Studies invite applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2023. As Molloy continues to expand its digital presence, we are looking for a forward-thinking candidate in the area of Cybersecurity to help expand the department's expertise and undergraduate course offerings, and to build successful programs to meet the demands in this field.
The primary professional responsibilities of Molloy's faculty are teaching, research, scholarship and/or creative activity, and service to the University, the profession, and to the community. These responsibilities generally include advising students, participation in department, school, and campus-wide committees, maintaining office hours, working collaboratively and productively with colleagues, and participation in traditional academic functions. The successful candidates will also be committed to the academic success of a diverse community of learners and to an environment that promotes equity and belonging.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field with emphasis in Cybersecurity. Preferences will be given to candidates whose work focuses in the area(s) of digital and/or computer forensics, cybercrime, and information security.
- Demonstrated potential of industry-based or academic research and/or distinguished industry experience as well as a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching.
- An ability to involve students in research and/or to provide them with industry-based experience.
