Job Summary/Basic Function

Provide clerical support for Educational Leadership and Early Learning Programs.
Educational Leadership:
Duties include assisting departmental faculty members and program coordinators regarding student issues, help maintain and organize department and program files, assist chair with reports, updating the department's website as needed, greet and assist visitors, answer telephone, and assist callers; order office supplies; and prepare or compose correspondence. Provide secretarial and clerical support to faculty, purchase and track supplies and equipment; reconcile budgets; prepare and process paperwork that may include contracts, grants, correspondence, and travel documentation; assist with and process departmental forms to include drop/add, permission of department overrides, etc; provide office organization, and perform other duties as assigned.

Early Learning Programs: Duties include assisting Early Learning Programs director and their work with Ann Campbell Early Learning Center, Child Development Center, and the Home and Community Based Early Intervention program with submission of contracts for services and Purchase Orders; coordinate logistics for staff meetings, conferences, special events and seminars; maintain databases on daily and monthly basis; provide monthly updates, and perform other related tasks and special projects as assigned.

Required Education

High School diploma or High School Equivalency (HSE) required.

Required Related Experience

Two (2) years directly related, progressively responsible clerical/secretarial experience; an Associate or Bachelor's degree may be considered in lieu of experience.

Desirable Related Experience

Three (3) years directly related, progressively responsible clerical/secretarial experience in a higher education setting preferred.
