The Iowa USDA Farm Service Agency is accepting applications to fill full-time permanent County Executive Director Trainee positions in Iowa.

Applicants will complete a yearlong training program to become FSA County Executive Directors(CED). As a CED, applicants will be responsible for directing/managing program and administrative operations for local FSA Service Centers. The CED supervises and works with staff to carry out permanent and ad hoc programs and policies established by USDA to help farmers, ranchers, and rural landowners in the local agricultural community. Once applicants complete their training, they will be expected to apply for CED Positions that are announced throughout the quadrant(s) in which they applied. The salary ranges from $39,576 to $77,955 per year and includes full health and retirement benefits under the Federal Employee Program, as well as work schedule flexibilities. The individual selected will be required to pass a background investigation and fingerprint check.
