GLAUCOMA CLINICIAN SCIENTIST FACULTY POSITION
Duke Eye Center is accepting applications for a clinician-scientist with strong interest and experience in laboratory research with a focus on glaucoma. This full-time position will include dedicated academic pursuits in basic and clinical research, and a portion of time devoted to clinical practice. The glaucoma division at Duke Eye Center is one of the largest in the country with 11 clinical glaucoma faculty and 3 principal investigators who lead bench science laboratories.
Candidates must have successfully completed an ACGME accredited ophthalmology the residency and glaucoma fellowship program with a substantial emphasis on research. The glaucoma clinician-scientist position requires both superb clinical skills and desire to engage in significant academic contributions in basic and clinical research.
A multispecialty academic medical center within Duke University School of Medicine and Duke University Health System. Duke Eye Center main campus is fortunate to have dedicated, connected space for research, education and patient care all located on the Duke Health campus in very close proximity to our Duke University collaborative partners such as Duke Biomedical Engineering.
Salary will be commensurate with experience and credentials. There is an opportunity for faculty rank with the Duke Department of Ophthalmology, determined by experience, credentials and the appropriate level of academic effort.
