Deli Star Corporation currently has an opening for a second shift Maintenance Technician. For more than thirty years, Deli Star Corporation has provided high quality cooked meats to the foodservice and food processing industries. Deli Star's comprehensive line of meat products are produced at the state-of-the-art meat processing facility located in Fayetteville, Illinois, just outside of St. Louis, Missouri.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform equipment repair and maintenance
- Provide assistance to Plant Superintendent and Maintenance Manager
- Follow company policies and industry regulations
Description of Responsibilities and Objectives:
- Perform equipment repair and maintenance
- Maintain mechanical and electrical equipment for the production of food products
- Ensures that equipment used in the manufacturing processes are maintained in accordance with the standards and expectations for each department and product line
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment problems
- Safely operate standard maintenance tools
- Perform all activities in a safe manner and report any safety concerns immediately
- Complete paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
- Provide assistance to Plant Superintendent and Maintenance Manager
- Must understand and comprehend the various production standards and communicate in variances the standards to their immediate supervisor and/or Director of Operations
- Inform team members and associates of machine maintenance through regular communication and team building
- Follow company policies and industry regulations
- Demonstrate adherence to the Deli Star StarGuest philosophy
- Follows specific Safety, USDA, SQF and GMP regulations
- Work as a resource in support of Research and Development
- Assist with keeping area clean and orderly
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Associates degree preferred, will consider High School diploma or GED, with 2-3 years of appropriate practical experience in a manufacturing setting
- Possess a high level of mechanical skills and aptitude
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Self motivated, good organizational skills and detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines promptly
