STORMWATER ENGINEERING MANAGER

CITY OF MONROE EQUIPMENT OPERATOR I -: Performs intermediate skilled trades
work in the construction, maintenance, repair, and modification of sidewalks, curbs and gutters, slabs, and related structures; operates a variety of medium to heavy automotive and construction equipment; does related work as required. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of a Street Maintenance Crew Leader. Prepares site, setting forms, pouring and finishing concrete; performing general masonry work; assisting with other public work duties. General knowledge of the common practices, tools, terminology and safety precautions of concrete work; general knowledge of the use and characteristics of building materials; skill in the use of masonry tools and equipment; ability to work from sketches, drawings, plans or specifications; ability to follow oral and written instructions; ability to estimate needed materials and time required for various jobs. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and
minimal experience in concrete work. Possession of or ability to obtain a Class A commercial driver's license valid in the State of North Carolina within six months of employment.
