Police Records Clerk
Performs intermediate skilled clerical and technical work processing police records and assisting the public; Enters police data into computer terminal; Types a variety of documents,
correspondence, memoranda, reports and other material; Checks and reviews data for accuracy, completeness and conformance to established standards; Maintains files where discretion is involved; Assists the public with completion of standardized records or documents; General knowledge of standard office practices, procedures and equipment; Ability to maintain confidential information; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public required; Education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school supplemented by courses in computers and office procedures and some experience in general clerical work; Required to obtain certification for NCIC/VCIN within one year of employment; Starting salary range: $23,187 - $27,824/ Annual Depends on Qualification.
