911 Emergency Communications Manager
The City of Danville is currently seeking 911 Emergency Communications Manager to oversee the operations and management of the 911 Emergency Communications Center. The position will be responsible for administering policies and procedures, hiring, training, developing, mentoring, disciplining, scheduling, and maintaining adequate staffing. Preparing budgets, serving as liaison to vendors and other agencies, maintaining and monitoring equipment, supplies, technical software, programs and dispatch protocols are require. Other duties including filing the role of Telecommunicator, meet and coordinate with agencies in the 911 user group and provide emergency management support. Candidates must have seven years' experience in the Emergency Communication field and maintain certification of Telecommunicator. Education and experience equivalent to two year associate's degree. Certification as an Emergency Medical Dispatch, Emergency Fire Dispatch, and Emergency Telecommunicator by the National Academy of Emergency Dispatch (NAED), VCIN, CPR, and Criminal Justice within one year of hire date; Starting pay- $51,345 - $61,614/DOQ
