Residential Alarm Installer
Boyd Security Services is a locally owned and operated alarm service provider for Norman and the OKC metro. We have been serving the community since 1982 and look forward to continued growth and opportunities. We are looking to hire an experienced technician with installation and service knowledge of low voltage systems (Burg Alarm, Fire Alarm, Access Control, CCTV, and Nurse Call).
Duties: - Install, maintain, and repair alarm systems in residential and commercial buildings. - Conduct site surveys to determine the best placement of alarm system components. - Program and test alarm systems to ensure proper functionality. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues with alarm systems, including wiring, sensors, and control panels. - Provide technical support to customers regarding alarm system operation and troubleshooting. - Perform regular maintenance on alarm systems to ensure optimal performance. - Keep accurate records of all installations, repairs, and maintenance performed.
Skills: - Strong knowledge of alarm system installation and maintenance procedures. - Proficient in the use of power tools and equipment. - Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant regulations. - Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve issues with alarm systems. - Effective communication skills to interact with customers and provide technical support. - Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Requirements: -Must be able to pass a background check -Must have a valid driver's license -Must have Oklahoma Department of Labor Technician License. Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
