Web Developer
Position Summary
The Web Developer is responsible for the design and development of company websites including content creation, enhancement, security, and maintenance. They will work closely with the Director of Marketing, outside vendors and Arnott’s creative team, to support Arnott’s US and International eCommerce and web properties.
Position Duties
- Maintains Arnott’s eCommerce and other web sites. Writes, tests and debugs new and revised code and performs website updates according to established schedules. Responsible for automation projects from design to deployment.
- Develops new templates, microsites and pages for the Arnott website(s)
- Designs, develops and deploys front-end focused solutions for web pages, email and other communication needs to help optimize website performance, functionality and revenue
- Performs tests and documents test plans, testing procedures, test results, server load, bandwidth, and database performance.
- Develops, coordinates and executes digital marketing efforts (SEO, SEM, mobile, social and email) with a goal of continuous improvement of organic and search rankings and social engagement.
- Reports performance metrics including campaign analytics, efficiency metrics, brand metrics, customer metrics, and overall return on investment for digital marketing and communications initiatives
- Create and maintain software documentation.
- Other related duties relating to web design technologies and system configuration as assigned.
Position Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform the position in a satisfactory manner.
- BS in computer science or a related field, or significant equivalent experience
- Fluency in HTML5, CSS3, PHP, Javascript, jQuery, ResponsiveFramework, Wordpress and other essential web programming frameworks as well as Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, and AdWords Editor
- Must be familiar with responsive design principals and developing optimized websites.
- Development experience using extensible web authoring tools
- Knowledge of Google AdWords and other PPC platforms
- Experience with Social Media platforms and associated marketing campaigns
- Strong process orientation with an eye for detail
- Excellent organization and time-management skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
