This is an entry-level position that reports directly to the Maintenance Manager doing maintenance and repair work. Duties include assisting Maintenance Technicians in routine maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment, such as the opening of blocked drains, repairing leaking faucets, replacing bulbs, replacing or repairing screens, broken windows, making minor repairs and adjustments to machinery, mixing cement and plaster, painting buildings, rooms walls or other surfaces, snow removal and yard work. Minor vehicle repairs such as replacing air filters, bulbs, wiper blades and mirrors, checking and adding fluids.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous work experience in the building trades or maintenance work is preferred but not required.

- Valid PA Driver�s License with 3 year clean driving record
- Two years experience related to general home/building maintenance and repair, as well as functional knowledge of automotive equipment sufficient to detect defective operation.
- Must possess knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and practices used in building and equipment maintenance trades.
- Must be knowledgeable of the safety practices and hazards relative to this position
- Ability to pass background checks, physical, TB and drug screening (ALL company paid!)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assure that timely repairs are made in residential sites including, but not limited to, basic plumbing ( repair toilets, reseal toilets, unclog drains, etc.), and basic electrical repairs (replacing bulbs/lamps, installing smoke detectors/alarms, and installations, minor repairs and adjustments to home appliances and equipment (clean out dryer and hose vents etc.), and minor repairs and routine maintenance of heating, cooling and ventilation systems (pilot lights, changing filters)
- Perform routine maintenance and upkeep of residential sites including, but not limited to, interior and exterior painting, plaster and cement repairs, door and window repairs, weatherproofing, cleaning of gutters and downspouts, minor roof repairs, hedge trimming, yard work and snow removal.
- Deliver supplies to residential sites as needed. Move furniture, appliances or other equipment as assigned by supervisor.
- Supply basic hand and power tools for personal use. Keep them in safe working order.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance tools, and other related equipment. Assure that all are in safe working order.
- Keep assigned vehicles in safe working order, organized and well maintained.
- Submit invoices, receipts or other documentation of purchases to supervisor for approval.
- Assist, when needed, in emergency vehicle maintenance.
- Under supervision of the Fleet Manager, assure that agency vehicles are maintained in clean, safe and serviceable condition by performing minor maintenance tasks.
- Assist the Fleet Manager in transporting company vehicles to and from sites and vendors.
- Participate in the on call rotation for after-hours emergency calls
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous work experience in the building trades or maintenance work is preferred but not required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
